Just as a quick reminder we would like to point out for beginners how to play these new maps. In case you want to check them out on your own and don't want to wait for a server admin to put them on for you, you can take either of these 2 steps:
Method A
Use the "Map Downloads" button in your Far Cry game menu. Press the "Receive available maps" button and then select all the new maps in the list that you want to try out. After completing your download, you can then simply go to any server of your choice, bring up the LR user panel (standard key = delete) and switch to the new maps by voting for them. Please note that none of the maps above will show up in your vote panel unless you have downloaded them at some point before or had them on your hard drive all along!
Method B
If you are already on a server you can simply bring forward the console (standard key = ^), create a backslash by pressing the tabulator key and then type "callvote map XYZ". By pressing the enter key afterwards, you can quickly change for any map, even if you have never downloaded it beforehand. The download from our mapspace will be automatically offered to you right away as soon as your vote is successful. Here's an example of how it should look like for the map mp_hidden_lakes:

Hoppala is German for upsy-daisy -- who said gaming cannot be educational? 2 islands, 2 flags and a hell lot of action. Also one of very few 2v2 maps with boats and mounted mg's.

We've been playing this one for a few days already. A compelling, fairly big WW2-themed map by Uwi that was missing from our servers for far too long. Good tactics and team play go a long way in this setting.

An absolute zinger, made by the same guys who gave us the gorgeous farcwest_assaut and aerofar maps. Loads of custom objects and sounds, inventive texturing and a keen eye for loving detail make this map one of the most creative offerings in our whole library. A true gem, prepare for some funny and clever surprises!
mp_icarus
Focusing mainly on boating action, this well-designed map by Toe Tag is set in a mysterious town bounded by the sea, with canals reminiscent of Venice.

2 nice medium-sized island maps that have nothing in common. Except that they are both competing for the ugliest loadscreen we have ever seen. Curious?
Roadrage
It's been a while since we upped a driving map. This one has you exploring a beautiful island coast and should also play well as a regular FFA/TDM map.
Christmas is almost here, who's ready to unwrap some early presents? A lot of new shiny and glitzy maps await you on the servers -- or we should rather say, ancient maps that we dusted off.

A straight-forward, yet entertaining map on a small wooded island. Could just as well be called a 2v2 map as it will play very well with fewer players.

Quite the polar opposite in terms of size, this nighttime map offers large battlegrounds at a shipyard and in a, well, have a guess...
mp_T_jungle
The last missing piece from the pack of reworked standard maps by the TAW clan. Re-experience a staple of our map cycle with lots of modifications and fun new tactical options. There is also a lot of extra stuff hidden away from the main action.
nrw_ghost_town
A fantastic Western-themed map by legendary Uwi that had not been available on our servers for almost 15 years. Finally, we can present it to you in all its wonderful glory. Bang bang!
mp_caribbeandream
Originally going by the name mp_caribicdream, this is an extremely lush and very beautiful FFA/TDM map in the classic Far Cry style. Unfortunately, it had several performance and design issues. We normally don't encroach on existing maps before putting them on our servers, but this is such a gorgeous creation that I think the original map designer would be okay with us giving it some extra love. You can read up on all the major changes in this more detailed posting. An ASSAULT option was also added, with fewer players in mind (think 2v2, 3v3).

The name says it all: huge, impending mountains frame a barren, hostile snowscape.
fcmp_volcano
An interesting FFA variant of Far Cry's final singleplayer level made by NowWhat.
mp_stalingrad
Toe Tag's foggy and appropriately gloomy FFA version or more likely even the origin of the often played mp_2v2_1944 map.
mp_tortuga_too
A vast and sombre map full of atmosphere, also made by Toe Tag. Its original name was simply mp_tortuga, but we had to rename it on our servers because of a map with the same name.
mp_skyscrapers
Commemorating the twin tower attacks, this smallish map surprises with its unique look and layout.
mp_triggerpull
A medium-sized arena map with a shallow lagoon at its center.
mp_winterland_snow
A small map set in a snowy forest area that is divided by an icy river.
